BP Universe Privacy Policy

1. About BP Universe

BP Universe is a social and communication service that provides accounts and profiles, posts, photos and videos, Reels, Stories, comments, reactions, discovery, Personal and Group messaging, voice messages, audio/video calling, notifications, advertising in public browsing areas, and BP AI features.

2. Information we process

Account and profile information

• Email address and authentication/account identifiers.
• Display name, username, profile image and other profile information you choose to provide, such as bio, education, occupation or a manually entered profile location.

Content and communications

• Posts, captions, photos, videos, Reels, Stories, comments, reactions, hashtags and other content you choose to publish.
• Personal and Group messages, voice messages and media needed to provide communication features. Some private messaging features use encryption protections.
• Call signaling and technical metadata needed to establish audio/video calls and screen sharing. BP Universe does not use private message text or private call content to choose ads.

Device, app and service information

• App/device information, network information, IP address or server request metadata, crash/performance diagnostics and security information that may be needed to operate and protect the service.
• Push notification token used to deliver messages, calls, reactions, comments and service notifications.
• Android advertising identifier and advertising-consent choices where permitted by platform settings and applicable law.

Usage, analytics and personalization

• App screens/features used, content interactions, viewing activity and other privacy-minimized analytics used to operate, secure, improve and understand BP Universe.
• Interests and interaction signals used to personalize discovery and recommendations where enabled.

BP AI information

• Prompts, messages, content you intentionally provide to BP AI, generated responses, and AI conversation history where the feature stores history.
• Content necessary to provide requested AI functions, including text assistance and image generation.

3. Device permissions

BP Universe asks for device permissions only when relevant to a feature. Depending on your Android version and the features you use, these may include:

• Camera: capturing photos/videos and using video calls.
• Microphone: voice messages and audio/video calls.
• Notifications: message, reaction, comment, call and service alerts.
• Display over other apps / full-screen call UI: incoming or ongoing call presentation where enabled.
• Screen capture/media projection: only when you explicitly start screen sharing.

You can manage Android permissions through your device settings.

4. How we use information

• Provide authentication, profiles, social publishing, discovery, messaging, calls, notifications and AI features.
• Upload, store, deliver and remove media you choose to use in BP Universe.
• Personalize feeds and discovery based on interests and activity where applicable.
• Detect abuse, enforce safety rules, prevent fraud and protect accounts and infrastructure.
• Measure reliability, performance and feature usage.
• Show and measure advertising in eligible public/social areas.
• Process support requests, verification requests and promotional/Boost requests.

5. Advertising

Advertising may appear in public/social browsing areas such as Universe, Reels or Stories when monetization is enabled. Private Personal/Group conversations and calls do not contain BP Universe ad placements.

BP Universe may use advertising services including Google/AdMob and Start.io. Those providers may process device or advertising information according to their own privacy policies and the consent or privacy choices available to you. BP Universe includes an in-app Privacy & ads section for advertising privacy controls where supported.

6. Service providers and disclosure

BP Universe uses service providers to operate the app. Depending on the feature, these may include:

• Supabase for authentication, database, realtime and backend functions.
• Cloudflare, Backblaze and ImageKit for media/storage/delivery functions.
• Google/Firebase for push notifications and related Android services.
• Google/AdMob and Start.io for advertising in eligible public areas.
• GIPHY or similar content services when users choose GIF/sticker features.
• AI infrastructure/model providers used to deliver BP AI and image-generation requests.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or BP Universe, to investigate abuse or security incidents, or as part of a legitimate business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

7. International processing and transfers

BP Universe and its service providers may process or store information in countries other than the country where you live. Where applicable, we use contractual, technical or other safeguards required by relevant data-protection law.

8. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide BP Universe, maintain security and integrity, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. User-created content may remain until you delete it, your account/data is deleted, or retention is otherwise required. Backups and security records may take additional time to expire.

9. Security

BP Universe uses technical and organizational measures intended to protect information, including authenticated access controls, secure transport, provider-side access controls and encryption protections for supported private communication features. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

10. Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or a copy of personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

• You can edit or delete certain profile/content information directly in BP Universe where controls are available.
• You can manage Android permissions in device settings.
• You can review advertising privacy choices from BP Universe's Privacy & ads section and applicable Android privacy settings.
• To request account/data deletion, access, correction or another privacy right, email bpuniverse.support@gmail.com from your account email when possible. Use the subject Privacy / Account Data Request and describe the request. We may need to verify account ownership before acting.

We may retain limited information where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution or other lawful purposes.

11. Children and age requirements

BP Universe is intended only for users who meet the minimum age required by applicable law and the relevant app-store age requirements. If you believe a child has provided personal information contrary to applicable requirements, contact us so the matter can be reviewed.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when BP Universe features, providers, legal requirements or data practices change. The effective date at the top will be updated when a revised policy is published.
